Well the warring season is almost upon us again as Jammer and co prepare to launch the fourth installment of the legendary Lord Of The Mics clashes, but what can we expect from the latest offering?.
Having seen Jammer, Cameraman Sketch and Ratty take to twitter to drip-drop us small nuggets of information in recent weeks it looks likely that Lord Of The Mics 4 is going to every bit as intriguing as the last offering but what we all want to know is who will be in Jammers dungeon jousting in lyrical combat this time around? will we see another Marger v Lay Z situation and more importantly will we have to put up with the same beat on every hype session once more (no disrespect to Faze Miyakes Take Off but it got a bit overplayed), Well, I can't answer for the Lord Of The Mics originators but I can share my thoughts so here they are.
We all know for sure that one clash has been confirmed with Roll Deeps Manga going up against Money Muziks and one time Fire camp stalwart Fumin in a clash that should be an exciting one, both are very good under-rated mcs with experience under their belts but I just feel that Fumin has the edge, he has been involved in some legendary moments in grime and I just feel as a war mc he has the edge, that's not to say Manga is a poor mc because he clearly isnt.
As for other clashes I fully expect to see Family Trees M.I.K in the dungeon although sadly not against his opponent of choice Scrufizzer, instead I think we'll see the Family Tree and Stayfresh rivalry that has been bubbling take center-stage once again with Deadly being a likely rival.
Another mc im expecting to see on Lord Of The Mics 4 is Maxsta, a lot of grime fans have been calling for him to feature and recent tweets from him suggests he has heard the call and is ready to step into combat although I cant think of a likely opponent, two possible foes in Merky Ace and Kozzie featured on LOTM3 so it's unlikely they will feature again, there has been talk of a potential Maxsta v Ice Kid clash but it's all hear'say at the moment.
Other mcs I expect to feature include KDot from Scumfam, Invasions Jaykae and Bloodlines Big H although once more who they will be facing is a mystery.
But what about dream clashes I'd like to see?
Well when it comes to clashes im pretty much the same as everyone else with my opinions, I would love to see some heavyweight clashes featuring mcs that have genuine dislike for each other and mcs that have history, so my dream clash list consists of the following.
Ghetts v P.Money
Maxsta v Kozzie
FT v Stayfresh
Trim v Big H
Jammer v Lethal B
And of course for the main event
Wiley v Dizzee Rascal
